Maupin Grade School

My husband Lee, and I have raised 4 children in our small, rural community. They all have gone on to college and now are young adults working in various cities, and or continuing their education. Maupin is an awesome community to live in and raise a family. We are very happy to be a part of it.

Important Information for Students and Parents

  •  Students will be working on authoring their own books the month of May and sharing them with the primary classes in June.
  • The annual "Parent Tea" or Author Celebration will be held on May 10th at 1:30 the grade school Library.
  • Students will be working on an Oregon report the month of May. They can work on this at home and at school. A really neat resource for this is http://bluebook.state.or.us on the web.
  • READING: We will be reading James and the Giant Peach and Trumpet of the Swan and will view the movies the last few weeks of school.
  • On Wednesday of the last week of school, please send a bag that your child can take their things home in. They will be cleaning out their lockers as well as their desks.
  • To keep up with skills over the summer please have your child read for pleasure and do some kind of math activities so they don't loose their skills over the summer break.
