Congrats to our middle school athletes who had their awards ceremony yesterday!




The theatre students are practicing their makeup skills for the spring show, Game of Tiaras (by Don Zolidis, Playscripts). They're pretty excited to try their hand at a show that's pure comedy and farce!



All the classes have been enjoying the weather this week! Here is Ms. Kurtz with the preschool students.

The SWC High School STEM club will be hosting Bingo tonight at the Stockyard in Wamic from 6-8pm! Come support our local Stem club by joining them to play Bingo and enjoy an evening of fun!

The MS/HS After School Program has been cancelled for today, Wed March 13th and those students will need to go home on the regular bus. Only Track students will be allowed to ride the activity bus tonight.
Great job to our counseling team, Ms. Doreen and Ms. Benson for implementing the Second Steps Program. Students are practicing things like anger management, how to respond when you're frustrated, and how body and nervous systems work. Thank you for your hard work!


The 8th grade modeled Literature Circles for the 7th Grade ELA class.

The SWCSD Theatre Department accepted a grant on Friday at The Dalles Art Center from the Wasco County Cultural Trust to help support the production of their spring show, "Game of Tiaras" (a play from Playscripts by Don Zolidis). Thank you for the support!



SWCSD would like to remind you that this next Friday, March 8th is a no school day for students but we are scheduling Parent/Teacher Conferences if you are concerned with your student's progress. Please either email their teacher or call the Grade School or High School Office to schedule a conference.

A few weeks ago, SWCSD and the Deschutes River Athletic Complex hosted a coaching clinic led by Harry Marra. It was a memorable and important weekend for all.


Two of our teachers gained the unique experience of continuing to work with NASA on the Lucy Project. Mr. Sowell and Mr. Henson are “Searching for Shaun," which is with the Trojan asteroid Polymele. They are excited to share their experiences with students.

Congratulations, Middle School Stem & Robotics!! The Flying Dutchman ranked 7th at Regionals, making it to the final round. The Mavericks ranked 12th and the Masterminds ranked 16th! We are so proud! Great job students and Ms. Krista! What a huge accomplishment!
