Our children’s safety starts the moment they head to the bus stop.
Please remember these critical rules when you see a school bus on the road: Always stop when the red lights flash and the stop arm is extended. Both directions must stop on undivided roads—no exceptions! Watch for children walking near bus stops, loading, or unloading. Put distractions away and slow down in school zones and neighborhoods.
A few extra seconds of patience can save a life. Let's keep our kids safe together!

The Columbia Gorge STEM Hub, a program within Columbia Gorge Education Service District, has awarded our very own SWC High School Robotics Team a donation in the amount of $876.55. Thank you Jamie Sowell for requesting this donation that will be used to support program expenses for the competitive robotics teams during the 2026-27 school year!

Parents/Guardians ~ The Middle/High School Back to School Night will start at 5:00pm in the Cafeteria. From 5-5:20pm there will be an informational meeting in the cafeteria, followed by break out sessions every 20 minutes in the classrooms. Session information sheets will be provided at the meeting. We will see you in the cafeteria at 5pm tonight!

The Maupin Grade School will host their Back to School Night event on Thursday September 10th, beginning at 5pm and the South Wasco County High School and Middle School event will be held in the high school on Thursday September 17th, also beginning at 5pm. We are looking for a coach for our Middle School Football Team for the 2026 Football Season. We need to have a coach in place by Tuesday, September 8th. We want to be able to provide the opportunity to have a MS Football Season this fall, but if we are unable to find a coach by this date, we will unfortunately have to cancel the MS Football Season and will need to look at other possible opportunities for students.
