Redsides win State!
The South Wasco boys won the 6- Man State Title tonight, defeating the Joseph Eagles in a great game by a 19-6 score. The game was knotted at 6 at half-time, the Redsides scored two fourth quarter touchdowns while the “Big Green Wall” held the Eagles on a goal line stand at the end of the half and scoreless in the second half. What a great game! Our boys showed tremendous heart and toughness. Coaches Waine and Carter also did a tremendous job having the boys prepared and ready to play.

The Redsides football team ran over the Lakers from Triangle Lake in 6-Man football playoff action, winning 57-20 at Sherman County. The boys will play Joseph at Madras next Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. for the 6 man title. Go Redsides!
The Lady Redsides split a couple matches in today’s Big Sky District Volleyball Tournament, beating Dufur and losing to Echo in the final to finish second in the tourney. The Lady Redsides will host Wallowa this Wednesday November 30, time TBA. Go Redsides!

Maupin Grade School hosted our first assembly. This month’s theme was EVERYDAY MATTERS, recognizing students who achieved 90% or more attendance in September. The Student Success Act has been approved! The district is working on a SSA plan and wants your input on how to use this new funding. Please go to our homepage and complete our survey.
South Wasco County schools is still looking for more members to serve on the Bond Committee which will meet once monthly beginning Oct. 23rd at 5:00. Call the District office for more details.
