SWCSD would like to remind you that 8th Grade Promotion is tonight, Thurs June 8th at 6:30pm outside on the track. 8th Grade Students need to arrive at 6:10pm in their classroom & parents are welcome to bring a dessert to share! Hope to see you there!

SWCSD would like to remind you that this Wednesday June 7th is NOT an early release day and students will be released at the normal time of 3:15pm. Also, Friday June 9th is the last day of school and students will be released at 1:30pm. If you have any questions, please call either the Grade School or High School office.

Hello SWC Families: Spring has sprung and with it, the nice weather. Along with that, we also have a rash of clothing choices that are not acceptable for school. We have updated the dress code that modernizes expectations, but we still DO have expectations that students need to meet. Please check the dress code information on the school website (swasco.net) under SWC Flash News to find out more so you can talk with your student about this important issue. Thank you!
CLARIFICATION: Only parents who volunteered to do the drill need to come pick up their children. All other children will return home on the bus or walking, as usual.
DRILL UPDATE: Students scheduled to ride the bus home are now departing the fairgrounds.

Students and staff are being relocated to an off-site location for their safety. Please stay away from campus and the reunification site at this time. The school and law enforcement will notify as soon as there is more information about the situation.
SWCSD Reminder: We are conducting a safety drill today Friday, May 5th, which will include a lockdown and "reunification" exercise at the Tygh Valley Fairgrounds for all staff & students to help us prepare for any emergency situation. Information was emailed home & you can also find the letter on the webpage at swasco.net under Flash News. Call either the GS or HS Office if you have any questions.
SWCSD would like to remind you that there is a presentation about our proposed High School Science material adoption tonight April 18th at 5:30pm in the High School Science Room. Please come if you are interested in having input on this important district decision.
SWCSD would like to remind you that the Wamic Community Center Food Pantry is open the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 5-6:30pm.
There will be a Community Health Fair in the High School Cafeteria at the Redsides Powow tomorrow April 19th from 5-7pm. If you are coming to the Powwow, please stop by the cafeteria and complete the community survey. You will receive a $10 voucher for a local store and the school also receives a $10 donation for every person who participates in the survey. See you there!
SWCSD would like to remind you that tomorrow night April 19th is the Redsides Powwow dinner with social dancing and games! Due to construction at the Grade School, the dinner will be held in the Legion Hall @ 5:30pm and the Powwow will be in the High School Gym @ 6:30pm. Come and enjoy a community evening of celebrating together!
